Our Process vs Current Options

There are options out there for CO2 Capture. However, amine absorption systems for Carbon Capture are energy intensive while typical algae ponds are land intensive. Our system improves upon both, reducing the energy and land required versus current technology.

Conventional Wisdom (EPA)

Use amine absorption to capture your CO2 and then pump it into the ground.

30% of your plants output to power the process
40% additional cost to your power production

Unconventional Wisdom

Use algae with natural light to capture your CO2.

21 acres of algal ponds per megawatt of production

Our Process

Our patent pending process combines elements of both. We artificially light our bioreactor and accomplish the following:

Land requirement

< 3* acres per megawatt of production

Energy requirement

< 10% of your plants output

Since we will be operating the facility and buying your power you will have increased your sales rather than increasing your costs.

* is for a 50 MW plant. Larger facilities would require less acreage per MW

Each commercial unit would be sized to the location.

Power consumption should be less than 50% of an absorption system.
Land use is 75% less than required for closed tube or open pond algal reactors.
